  • Music

Vocal Music is Brayah’s second teachable. Through volunteer work and private lessons, she has worked with various levels of singers aged 6 to adult. Her greatest strength as a music educator is her comprehensive knowledge of vocal health and safety. She is passionate about preventing vocal injury, especially in teenagers, and works mindfully with student vocalists to ensure proper technique. Her music reading, instrument familiarity, and conducting skills were an asset during her practicum placement in an instrumental music class.

  • And More!

Flexibility and adaptability are Brayah’s greatest strengths as she joins the world of classroom teaching. Through practicum placements, she also gained experiences in humanities and social science classrooms and personal fitness classes. Her success with a wide array of courses in highschool is also an asset to her occasional-teaching toolbox, including university level core French, science, history, and English. Brayah also has experience teaching with all grade levels, through volunteer work and her extracurricular arts classes.

  • Differentiated Delivery

Brayah’s arts background lends itself to creative lesson delivery that prioritizes finding multiple diverse means of engagement and participation for students. This results in greater success for students with varied backgrounds and strengths.

  • Classroom Community

The young people Brayah works with have expressed that they appreciate being in a learning environment where they feel they are respected, where they are given agency, and where difficulties are met with grace and productive accommodations.

  • Support & Accsessibility

Brayah’s sense of patience and compassion for neurodiverse students started while working with a younger family member with special needs. This developed skills that carried on into her cooperative education placement, where she worked as one-on-one support for students with exceptionalities, and into her B.Ed classroom placements, working with students with diverse learning styles and support needs.
